FootyBets.aiThursday Night Footy: Swans Set to Feast on the Dogs at Docklands
Thursday night footy is back under the roof at Docklands as the Western Bulldogs host a blockbuster clash against the Sydney Swans. While the Dogs have the home-turf familiarity, our FootyBets.ai models are predicting a massive night for the Bloods, heavily favoring Sydney's ball-winners in what shapes up to be a fast, high-scoring deck.
Our AI has crunched the numbers, and the Swans are completely dominating the optimal builds. Here are the key magnets you need to feature tonight:
- Brodie Grundy (SYD): Appearing in 100% of our optimal builds, the veteran ruckman is projected for a monster 119.7 points. Expect him to control the hit-outs, rack up the clearances, and lay plenty of tackles around the ground.
- Tom McCartin & Matt Roberts (SYD): Both are locked into all 10 optimal lineups. McCartin (76.2 pts) will mop up with intercept marks across half-back, while Roberts (80.0 pts) is primed to accumulate plenty of uncontested disposals linking up on the outside.
- Billy Cootee (SYD): Another 100% AI lock. He's heavily involved in the midfield rotation and will pad his fantasy score with relentless tackling pressure and inside ball-winning.
- Chad Warner (SYD): Featuring in 9/10 lineups, Warner is the ultimate slate-breaker. Projected for 87.3 points, his ability to tuck the pill under his arm, rack up inside 50s, and kick multiple snags makes him an elite forward-eligible option.
Position-by-Position Quick Tips: * RUC: Set and forget Brodie Grundy. He is the undisputed alpha in the ruck tonight. * DEF: Stack the Swans' backline. Pair McCartin with 'The Lizard' Nick Blakey to monopolise those lucrative rebound 50s and running bounces. * MID: Roberts and Cootee are the AI favorites, but make sure to balance your core with young Dog Ryley Sanders to extract the pill at the coalface. * FWD: Lock in Chad Warner for his explosive midfield/forward minutes, and don't sleep on Sydney's boom forward-line addition Charlie Curnow for massive ceiling potential inside the arc.
