FootyBets.aiDraftStars Gold: Hawks Poised to Fry the Suns in Tassie
Footy returns to York Park this Saturday, April 25, as Hawthorn hosts the Gold Coast Suns in a massive Anzac Day clash. The Hawks absolutely love playing down in Launceston, and our FootyBets.ai projections heavily favour the brown and gold to dictate terms and dominate the fantasy scoring.
Our AI simulation has crunched the numbers, and the optimal builds are loaded with Hawthorn stars. Here are the key names you need to anchor your lineups:
Jai Newcombe (MID) Sitting in 100% of our optimal builds with a massive 96.2 projected points. Expect the Hawthorn bull to feast on the contested ball, rack up center clearances, and lay bone-crunching tackles.
Lloyd Meek (RUC) Another absolute lock appearing in all 10 optimal lineups. The big man is primed to command the airways, padding his fantasy score with hit-outs to advantage and strong around-the-ground intercept marks.
Jack Dalton (FWD) Sweeping 10/10 lineups, Dalton is in the perfect spot to hit the scoreboard. Expect him to clunk a few crucial marks inside 50 and capitalize on Hawthorn's inside-50 dominance.
Jarman Impey (DEF) Appearing in 9 out of 10 builds, Impey’s run and carry out of the back half is a DraftStars goldmine. He'll be racking up uncontested marks and delivering those sweet +6s on the rebound.
Conor Nash (MID) The big Irishman (8/10 lineups) perfectly complements Newcombe in the guts. He's practically guaranteed to stuff the stat sheet with high-volume tackling and hardball gets.
Position-by-Position Quick Tips
- RUC: Don't overthink the big-man department—set and forget Lloyd Meek.
- DEF: Stack the Hawthorn rebounders. Jarman Impey and Josh Battle are your go-to guys to mop up across half-back.
- MID: It's a Hawthorn-heavy script (Newcombe, Nash, D'Ambrosio), but sprinkling in Gold Coast's Noah Anderson is a smart contrarian play to capture the Suns' midfield upside.
- FWD: Dalton and Connor Macdonald are incredibly reliable, but don't ignore Touk Miller—his forward-status provides massive ceiling potential for Gold Coast.
