FootyBets.aiHawk Havoc at Docklands: DraftStars Tips for Hawthorn vs Port Adelaide
Saturday night footy takes us under the roof at Docklands as a high-flying Hawthorn outfit looks to ground Port Adelaide. The fast indoor deck is a daily fantasy dream, promising rapid-fire ball movement, plenty of uncontested marks on the outside, and high-scoring footy.
Our FootyBets.ai supercomputer has crunched the numbers, and a clear brown-and-gold trend has emerged. Here are the core players dominating our optimal builds:
- Massimo D'Ambrosio (MID): Locked into 100% of optimal lineups. 'Mass' is built for the fast Docklands turf. Expect him to rack up cheap outside disposals and link-up marks as the Hawks transition the footy.
- Cam Mackenzie (MID): Also boasting a 100% appearance rate. Mackenzie’s two-way running and clearance work will see him heavily involved, stuffing the stat sheet with contested touches and tackles.
- Jason Horne-Francis (FWD): The lone Power player to heavily crash the top builds (9/10). Racking up midfield minutes with forward eligibility is DFS gold. Expect JHF to burst from the stoppages, lay crunching tackles, and snag a goal or two.
- Josh Ward (MID): Popping up in 90% of our builds. Ward’s elite tank means he gets to countless contests, translating to a massive floor of disposals and regular tackle points.
- Jarman Impey (DEF): Featured in 8 out of 10 builds. The Hawks love the ball in his hands, so lock him in for plenty of rebound 50s and intercept marks off half-back.
Positional Quick Tips: * RUC: Lock in the towering Ned Reeves. He’s our preferred big man tonight, popping up in 80% of builds to dominate the hit-out battle. * DEF: It’s a Hawthorn blockade. Jarman Impey is your priority target, but don't sleep on the intercept-marking prowess of Josh Battle. * MID: Ride the young Hawks. Pair Cam Mackenzie and Josh Ward with Massimo D'Ambrosio to anchor your midfield. * FWD: Jason Horne-Francis is non-negotiable. Look to pair him with Connor Macdonald, who loves sneaking forward for a goal under the roof.
