FootyBets.aiBarossa Blockbuster: North vs Brisbane DraftStars Guide
Friday night footy heads to the picturesque Barossa Oval as North Melbourne locks horns with the Brisbane Lions. Expect a cracking, high-intensity clash as the youthful Roos try to run the legs off the Lions in wine country. With plenty of midfield stoppage action on the forecast, there’s an absolute mountain of DraftStars points waiting to be plundered.
Our FootyBets.ai algorithm has crunched the data. Here are the heavy hitters anchoring our optimal builds:
- Harry Sheezel (MID - Proj: 116.0 pts): The ultimate footy magnet. Sheezel features in 100% of our top builds because of his elite ball-winning ability. Expect him to cruise past 30 disposals and pad his fantasy score with a stack of uncontested marks on the outside.
- Luke Davies-Uniacke (MID - Proj: 106.0 pts): LDU is the undisputed stoppage bull. He’ll rack up his DraftStars points the hard way through clearance wins, contested possessions, and bone-crunching tackles in the engine room.
- Luke Parker (DEF - Proj: 91.8 pts): Thriving in his new colours across the half-back line, the veteran is a fantasy dream. He sweeps up cheap intercept kicks and still brings his trademark tackling pressure to guarantee a high floor.
- Darcy Fort (RUC - Proj: 72.9 pts): Brisbane’s big man is the consensus tap-artist for this slate. He’s locked in thanks to a steady diet of hit-outs to advantage and his ability to push back for intercept marks.
Quick Positional Tips: * RUC: Darcy Fort is the undisputed big man for this matchup—set and forget. * DEF: Lock in Luke Parker, but definitely consider pairing him with Tom Blamires (featured in 8/10 builds) to mop up those defensive 50 exits. * MID: It’s a North Melbourne monopoly. Stack Sheezel and LDU, then throw in Jy Simpkin to secure a massive midfield ceiling. * FWD: Paul Curtis is your go-to target. He brings elite forward pressure for tackle points and is always a threat to snag a couple of goals through the big sticks.
