Friday Night Frenzy: Roos Rule the DraftStars Roost Against Carlton

Friday night footy is back under the roof at Docklands this 03 April 2026, as North Melbourne takes on Carlton in what promises to be a daily fantasy goldmine. Expect a fast deck and plenty of end-to-end ball movement, but if our AI models are anything to go by, it’s the boys from Arden Street who are primed to completely hijack the stats sheet tonight.

Here’s a look at the heavy hitters dominating our optimal DraftStars builds:

• Harry Sheezel (MID, 119.0 pts): An absolute accumulator’s dream and locked into 100% of our top lineups. Expect "The Sheez" to roam freely, racking up massive disposal numbers and linking up for those lucrative +6 kick-mark combos.
• Luke Davies-Uniacke (MID, 109.9 pts): Another 10/10 lock. LDU is tipped to be the clearance king tonight. He’ll burst out of packs, pump the ball inside 50, and lay a truckload of tackles to keep his floor sky-high.
• Jack Darling (RUC, 47.3 pts): Darling with RUC status? You read that right. While his projected score isn't massive, he appears in every single optimal build. He'll hit the scoreboard, provide a contest, and structure your lineup perfectly.
• George Wardlaw (MID, 72.0 pts): Landing in 90% of our builds, this inside bull is set for a big night of grunt work. Bank on elite tackle numbers and contested hard-ball gets.
• Luke McDonald (DEF, 68.0 pts): Featured in 80% of top lineups, McDonald will be the designated sweeper, mopping up Carlton's forward entries and padding his stats with uncontested marks across half-back.

Positional Quick Tips * RUC: Jack Darling (NM). The AI absolutely loves this positional anomaly. Plug him in and don’t overthink it. * DEF: Luke McDonald (NM) and Tom Blamires (NM) are the standout defensive generals to anchor your backline. * MID: Build your engine room around Harry Sheezel (NM) and LDU (NM). If you need a Carlton counter-punch, Sam Walsh (CAR) is your man. * FWD: Target Paul Curtis (NM) for goals and high half-forward pressure, or pivot to Carlton's Talor Byrne for a point of difference.
