FootyBets.aiDees vs Suns: DraftStars Dominance at the 'G
Sunday arvo footy at the MCG brings us a cracking clash between Melbourne and the Gold Coast Suns. The Dees will be looking to flex their muscles on their home deck, but don't count out a hungry Suns outfit eager to claim a massive interstate scalp. With plenty of midfield firepower on both sides, expect a high-scoring fantasy bloodbath.
Here’s a look at the heavy hitters our AI loves for this slate:
- Max Gawn (RUC): Big Maxy is a lock. He'll dominate the hit-outs, float back into the hole for his trademark intercept grabs, and rack up easy uncontested disposals around the ground to comfortably crack the ton.
- Jack Steele (MID): The tackling machine in Melbourne colours is an absolute must-have. Expect him to bury his head in the coalface, extract the clearances, and rack up monster tackle numbers that create an incredible fantasy floor.
- Kysaiah Pickett (MID): Kozzy spending more time up the ground is a fantasy goldmine. He’ll hit the scoreboard with a couple of snags, apply relentless forward-half pressure, and accumulate damaging disposals in space.
- Noah Anderson (MID): Gold Coast’s engine room relies heavily on Anderson. He’ll gather plenty of the pill, link up on the outside, and pump it inside 50 all afternoon for a massive projected score.
- Lachlan Gulbin (FWD): Featured in every single optimal build, Gulbin is the perfect forward target. He finds the footy, pushes up the ground, and can clunk a contested mark inside 50 to keep the scoreboard ticking.
Positional Quick Tips
- RUC: Don't overthink it—set and forget Max Gawn. He owns the MCG and projects significantly better than anyone else on the slate.
- DEF: Sam Collins is the safe bet to mop up intercept marks down back, but if you want upside, look to Christian Salem for his elite rebound disposals.
- MID: It's a star-studded engine room, but Jack Steele and Noah Anderson are your undisputed premium anchors for massive disposal and tackle counts.
- FWD: Lachlan Gulbin is the AI's favourite forward, but pair him with big man Ethan Read for maximum Suns scoring potential.
