FootyBets.aiPowering Up: Port vs Eagles DraftStars DFS Preview
The footy action heats up this Sunday, March 29, 2026, as Port Adelaide hosts the West Coast Eagles at the fantasy goldmine that is Adelaide Oval. The Power will be looking to assert their dominance in the midfield on home turf, but don't count out a gritty Eagles outfit packed with hard-nosed veterans and exciting youth ready to rack up the fantasy stats.
Our FootyBets.ai algorithm has crunched the numbers, and here are the absolute must-haves dominating our optimal builds:
Jordon Sweet (RUC) Appearing in 100% of our top builds and projecting a massive 111.7 points, Sweet is an absolute lock. He’s set to dominate the hit-outs, but it’s his follow-up work—clearances and repeat tackles around the contest—that makes him a DraftStars beast.
Elliot Yeo (FWD) Getting a genuine midfielder with forward eligibility is the ultimate DFS cheat code. Yeo is locked into all 10 optimal lineups. Expect him to pile on the points through contested disposals, inside 50s, and his trademark bone-crunching tackles.
Josh Lindsay (DEF) The young Eagles defender is another 10/10 lock. With the ball expected to live in West Coast's defensive half for extended patches, Lindsay will mop up cheap uncontested marks and rack up intercept possessions across half-back.
Jack Graham (MID) A pure workhorse. Graham is heavily favoured by the AI (9/10 lineups) thanks to his elite defensive running. He’ll pad his 83.5 projected score with heavy tackle numbers and crucial clearance work in the engine room.
Zak Butters (MID) When you need a slate-breaking ceiling, you target Butters. Projecting over 100 points, he will slice through the Eagles with massive disposal counts, line-breaking runs, and a very high chance of hitting the scoreboard.
Position-by-Position Quick Tips
- RUC: Don't overthink it—set and forget Jordon Sweet to anchor your team's scoring.
- DEF: Target the West Coast backline for volume. Josh Lindsay is essential, but Liam Baker will also see plenty of traffic and rebound opportunities.
- MID: Pay up for Zak Butters as your premium, then look to balance your build with high-floor grinders like Jack Graham or Port youngster Ewan Mackinlay.
- FWD: Elliot Yeo is non-negotiable, while Cooper Duff-Tytler offers brilliant upside as a secondary forward option.
