FootyBets.aiDraftStars AFL Preview: Cats vs Tigers at the Cattery
Geelong hosts Richmond down at Kardinia Park for what promises to be a high-octane Saturday clash. The Cats are notoriously formidable on their home deck, but the Tigers will look to bring trademark pressure and turn this into a contested scrap. Expect a physical battle with plenty of fantasy points up for grabs in the trenches.
Key Targets
- Tim Taranto (MID, Richmond | Proj: 108.9 pts): The ultimate daily fantasy engine. Taranto’s elite contested ball-winning, high tackle floor, and ability to push forward for a snag make him the clear top projected scorer across all 10 optimal builds.
- Toby Nankervis (RUC, Richmond | Proj: 103.3 pts): 'Nank the Tank' is an absolute lock. His stoppage dominance, hitout volume, and willingness to throw his weight around at ground level guarantee a massive fantasy ceiling.
- Tom Atkins (MID, Geelong | Proj: 88.9 pts): Geelong's contested bull thrives on the tight dimensions of Kardinia Park. Expect Atkins to rack up hard-ball gets, clear the congestion, and lay a mountain of tackles.
- Gryan Miers (FWD, Geelong | Proj: 79.4 pts): The premier goal-assist specialist in the comp. Miers covers serious ground on his home track, collecting uncontested marks and delivering inside-50s with surgical precision.
- Patrick Retschko (MID, Richmond | Proj: 79.8 pts): A standout 10/10 AI selection, Retschko’s relentless work rate and outside run provide brilliant consistency in the midfield rotation.
