FootyBets.aiDocklands Showdown: How to Crush DraftStars in Carlton vs Gold Coast
Under the roof at Marvel Stadium, Carlton host a firing Gold Coast Suns side in a fast-paced, high-scoring Saturday clash. With both midfield groups featuring elite fantasy scorers, landing the right combination of ball-magnets and value fillers will be the key to taking down your DFS contests this weekend.
Here is how the footybets.ai algorithm sees the top plays shaping up:
The Core Locks
- Matt Rowell (GC, MID – Proj 111.3): The absolute standout of the slate. Rowell thrives under the indoor conditions where his raw stoppage dominance, contested ball winning, and double-digit tackle threat guarantee a massive fantasy floor.
- Adam Cerra (CARL, MID – Proj 92.3): With Carlton needing control in the engine room, Cerra is primed for huge disposal numbers. His clean distribution and clearance work make him the Blues' most trusted fantasy accumulator on the day.
- Christian Petracca (GC, FWD – Proj 90.9): Petracca’s dual-threat role swinging between the centre bounces and the forward line makes him essential. Expect high-impact disposals, inside-50 entries, and multiple goal-scoring opportunities.
- Ned Moyle (GC, RUC – Proj 89.1): Capitalising on main-stage ruck duties, Moyle’s hitout work and willingness to get his hands dirty around ground balls make him a staple across the optimal builds.
- Caleb Lewis (GC, DEF – Proj 57.5): A defensive glue guy who consistently tracks high on efficiency, taking intercept marks and linking up on exit plays out of the back half.
Quick Position Tips
- RUC: Lock in Ned Moyle as your primary tap-man for guaranteed hitout volume and second-effort tackling points.
- DEF: Target Daniel Rioli (82.0) for elite run-and-carry points off half-back alongside Caleb Lewis.
- MID: Pair Matt Rowell and Adam Cerra to lock down the highest clearance ceiling on the slate, with Noah Anderson (108.0) offering dynamic stack potential.
- FWD: Set and forget Christian Petracca at FWD, looking to pairing him with Cooper Lord (74.2) down the list for dynamic flexibility.
