FootyBets.aiGabba Blockbuster: Lock in These DFS Stars for Lions vs Swans!
The Gabba is set to ignite this Thursday night as the Brisbane Lions host the Sydney Swans in a heavyweight clash with massive finals implications. Expect high-octane footy, fierce midfield battles, and plenty of fantasy points up for grabs in what shapes up to be an absolute humdinger.
Our FootyBets.ai algorithm has crunched the numbers, and these are the key players dominating our optimal DraftStars lineups:
- Josh Dunkley (MID, Proj: 97.1 pts): Appearing in 10/10 optimal lineups, Dunks is a pure DFS cheat code. He thrives in contested beast-mode at the Gabba, and his elite tackling pressure and clearance work guarantee a rock-solid scoring floor.
- Logan Morris (FWD, Proj: 70.5 pts): The young Lions forward is another perfect 10/10 feature. With his strong aerial presence and sharp-shooting inside 50, expect him to easily outscore his projection through marks and goals.
- James Jordon (FWD, Proj: 63.4 pts): Lock him in. Jordon’s defensive pressure, elite work rate, and ability to push up into the stoppage mean he will rack up tackles and link-up disposals all night.
- Nick Blakey (DEF, Proj: 95.5 pts): 'The Lizard' (9/10 lineups) will be vital on the fast Gabba deck. His slicing run-and-carry from defensive 50, kick-ins, and intercept marking make him a premium defensive priority.
- Will Ashcroft (MID, Proj: 103.1 pts): The young superstar (7/10 lineups) has a massive ceiling. His classy ball use and ability to find space in traffic will see him rack up disposals at will.
Position-by-Position Quick Tips
- DEF: Nick Blakey is the priority target, but don't sleep on Swan Riley Bice (Proj: 77.4) as a highly-productive defensive option.
- MID: Will Ashcroft is primed for a massive night, but pairing him with the explosive Zac Bailey (Proj: 95.7) gives you lethal goal-kicking midfield upside.
- RUC: It’s a intriguing battle of the big men. Lions' Sam Draper (Proj: 65.2) and Swan Peter Ladhams (Proj: 56.6) both feature in 50% of our optimal rosters.
- FWD: Logan Morris and James Jordon are non-negotiable foundations for your forward line this week.
