FootyBets.aiEagles Swoop on Bombers: DraftStars Gold for Sunday Footy
The West Coast Eagles welcome Essendon to Perth Stadium this Sunday afternoon for what shapes up as a cracking contest. With the Eagles' young guns finding their feet at home and the Bombers desperate to assert their dominance on the road, expect plenty of high-scoring fantasy footy. The midfield battle alone is worth the price of admission!
Key Pillars: Why Our AI Loves These Guns
- Liam Duggan (West Coast): A lock in 100% of our optimal builds with a projected 90.6 points. Duggan is the Eagles' defensive general, guaranteed to rack up the cheap +6s with reliable kick-mark chains across half-back.
- Darcy Parish (Essendon): The Dons' midfield pig (projected 97.5 pts) is primed for a massive day. Expect a mountain of uncontested and contested disposals, centre clearances, and hard-nosed tackles in the engine room.
- Harley Reid (West Coast): The generational talent delivers generational fantasy scores. Projected for 93.6 points, Reid's ability to win the hard ball, stick massive tackles, and push forward for a snag makes him a DraftStars darling.
- Elliot Yeo (West Coast): Listed as a FWD but spending crucial minutes in the guts. Yeo’s ferocious tackling and booming inside 50s give him a massive floor, making his 87.7 projected points incredibly safe.
Position-by-Position Quick Tips
- RUC: Jack Williams is the clear AI standout. He appears in 9/10 optimal builds and will grind out solid hit-outs while chipping in with marks around the ground.
- DEF: Anchor your backline with Liam Duggan for pure distribution, and pair him with Essendon's Ben McKay to feast on those juicy intercept marks.
- MID: It's a stacked engine room! Load up on Darcy Parish and Harley Reid, but don't sleep on Eagles ball-magnet Willem Duursma or the Dons' Will Setterfield.
- FWD: Elliot Yeo is your premium hybrid lock. To round out your forward line, look to Milan Murdock and Jake Waterman to clunk marks, hit the scoreboard, and boost your total.
