FootyBets.aiTassie Tussle: Hawks Ready to Feast on Crows in Thursday Night DFS
Thursday night footy heads across the Bass Strait to York Park as Hawthorn hosts the Adelaide Crows. The Hawks will be looking to leverage their Tasmanian fortress, and our FootyBets.ai optimiser is heavily backing the brown and gold to dictate terms and dominate the fantasy scoring. Expect a fierce contest with plenty of uncontested ball on the outside and heavy tackle pressure at the coalface!
Here’s a look at the heavy hitters dominating our AI-generated optimal lineups:
Karl Amon (Hawthorn, DEF) Locked into all 10 of our optimal lineups with a massive 94.9 projected points, Amon is the ultimate DFS weapon. He feasts across half-back, racking up +3 uncontested marks, cheap disposals, and Rebound 50s with his lethal left boot.
Lloyd Meek (Hawthorn, RUC) Appearing in every single optimal lineup, Meek is set for a big night. He will not only command the hitout battle but also isn't afraid to get his hands dirty with crucial tackles and clearances around the ground to pad his score.
Massimo D'Ambrosio (Hawthorn, MID) Another 10/10 lock. 'Mass' provides elite run and carry on the outside for the Hawks. Look for him to constantly link up through the corridor, stacking those uncontested disposal and mark points as Hawthorn transitions the footy.
Josh Rachele (Adelaide Crows, FWD) The highest-owned Crow (6/10 lineups). When Adelaide goes inside 50, Rachele is the creative spark. He can pile on points in a hurry with scoreboard impact, forward-half pressure tackles, and high-impact touches.
Position-by-Position Quick Tips
- RUC: Do not overthink it—Lloyd Meek is the undisputed, set-and-forget solo ruck play for this slate.
- DEF: Anchor your backline with Amon, then pair him with Josh Battle (9/10 lineups), who will be looking to gobble up intercept marks all night long.
- MID: Hawthorn's youth brigade is the key. Cam Mackenzie (10/10) offers immense upside, but make sure to mix in Adelaide's Sam Berry (5/10) for guaranteed tackle points in the inside clinches.
- FWD: Finn Maginness (10/10) is an absolute must-have structural piece to round out your forward line, while Alex Neal-Bullen offers a crafty Crows point-of-difference.
