FootyBets.aiEagles vs Giants DraftStars Preview: Greene and Reid Ready to Rumble Out West
The GWS Giants make the long trek across the Nullarbor to face the West Coast Eagles at Perth Stadium this Sunday afternoon. With West Coast's exciting young midfield finding its groove and the Giants' seasoned stars desperate for four premiership points, expect a high-intensity, high-scoring clash with plenty of fantasy footy gold up for grabs.
Our FootyBets.ai algorithm has run the numbers, and a few undeniable studs are dominating the optimal builds. Here is why these top-selected players are primed to stuff the stat sheet:
- Kieren Briggs (10/10 Lineups): A unanimous lock. Briggs is a brutal contested beast for a big man. Expect him to monster the hit-outs, rack up the clearances, and lay plenty of heavy tackles against the Eagles' ruck division.
- Toby Greene (10/10 Lineups): Toby thrives on silencing a hostile Perth crowd. Projected for a massive 96.9 points, look for the Giants skipper to push up the ground to accumulate cheap disposals before drifting forward to snag a couple of trademark goals.
- Brent Daniels (9/10 Lineups): Daniels brings elite forward-half pressure. His relentless tackling and high inside-50 involvements give him a brilliantly safe fantasy floor.
- Harley Reid & Tim Kelly (8/10 Lineups): This dynamic Eagles duo is heavily favoured. Kelly is the veteran accumulator who will chop up the uncontested marks, while Reid’s sheer brute strength guarantees plenty of contested possessions, clearances, and broken tackles.
Position-by-Position Quick Tips
- RUC: Kieren Briggs is the undisputed king of the ruck battle today. Set and forget.
- DEF: Don't sleep on West Coast's Tom McCarthy. He only appears in half our optimal builds but boasts a monster 90.4 projection. Pair him with Liam Duggan for guaranteed intercept marks.
- MID: Load up on the Eagles' engine room. Kelly, Reid, and rising star Willem Duursma are all ball magnets who will rack up the disposals on the wide expanses of Perth Stadium.
- FWD: Ride the Orange Tsunami. Greene and Daniels are essential, but Giants recruit Jake Stringer is a sneaky shout to hit the scoreboard and boost your total.
