FootyBets.aiGold Coast vs West Coast: Your Ultimate DraftStars Cheat Sheet
The Gold Coast Suns host the West Coast Eagles at People First Stadium this Sunday afternoon, and the fantasy landscape is looking absolutely prime. Expect the Suns to control the tempo and uncontested play on their home deck, but don't count out a gritty Eagles outfit determined to crack in at the coalface. With plenty of midfield ball to be won and fast transition running on the menu, this clash is a goldmine for daily fantasy coaches.
Our FootyBets.ai algorithm has run the numbers, and a few key names are absolutely dominating the optimal builds:
- Jarrod Witts (Suns): The big man is a 100% lock in our top lineups. Expect him to monster the hit-outs, drift back for intercept clunks, and rack up plenty of easy disposals against a developing Eagles ruck division.
- Touk Miller (Suns): Having Touk available as a FWD is a massive cheat code. He’ll play his usual relentless midfield role, laying crunching tackles and accumulating disposals at will to push toward triple-figure points.
- John Noble (Suns): The dashing defender will be the primary architect of Gold Coast’s transition game. He’s projected for a huge 90+ score because he’ll gobble up uncontested marks and rack up the rebound 50s off half-back.
- Milan Murdock & Hamish Davis (Eagles): These two West Coast mids appear in every single optimal lineup. Murdock will bury his head in the clinches for crucial tackle points, while Davis is primed to run hard all day and find enough of the pill to easily smash his baseline projection.
Position-by-Position Quick Tips: * RUC: Don't overthink it—set and forget Jarrod Witts for guaranteed production. * DEF: Stack the Suns' half-back line. John Noble and Daniel Rioli will feast on cheap kicks and marks as they switch the play out of defensive 50. * MID: Look to the Eagles to fill out your engine room. Jack Graham and Elliot Yeo offer huge upside through clearances and heavy tackling inside the contest. * FWD: Touk Miller is non-negotiable here, but consider sprinkling in Tim Kelly to inject some high-ceiling class into your forward line.
