Match Review

In a pulsating five-point thriller, the midfield battle dictated the result. Ed Richards played the game of his life with a perfect balance of inside grunt and scoreboard impact, making him the standout choice for top votes. Lachie Neale was a relentless accumulator for the Lions and his 39 disposals should see him poll despite the loss. Marcus Bontempelli's three match-winning goals gave the Bulldogs the decisive edge.
